Ozzy Osbourne Interviews To Air Today, Plus Download Available
On the eve of Black Sabbath's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Ozzy Osbourne appeared on Sirius Satellite Radio to discuss Sabbath's legacy, this year's Ozzfest tour, his current state of health, and his own upcoming studio album.
Discussing the controversial video intro to "War Pigs" used during Ozzfest 2004, Ozzy let loose this tirade: "When the Gulf War happened, it was like watching a video game. You're sitting in your house having an evening meal, watching people get blown to shit. Haven't we learned that violence doesn't work? If your country's at war, and one of your friends gets killed but you ultimately win — well, your friend ain't won, he's dead! As a parent myself, it's not even a thought that if one of my sons were to get called up, I'd do something to make sure he never got in there to be cannon fodder for some general with a bloody stripe on his arm. Violence achieves nothing. What's scary is we're in a new century, and there's atom bombs, hydrogen bombs, biological and chemical shit all over the place. It's all down to money, anyway, but what are you going to do — buy a f--king air raid shelter?"
