Ozzy Throat Problems - Somerset, Wisconsin Ozzfest Postponed
Ozzy Osbourne is having throat problems so Ozzfest, set for Sunday at Float Rite Park in Somerset, Wis., has been postponed until Sept. 10, promoters announced Thursday evening. Osbourne has been ordered by his doctors to rest his voice, and his band Black Sabbath now has scratched four shows, each the day after a performance.
"You gotta do Ozzfest with Ozzy," said Minneapolis promoter Randy Levy. "We're going to lose some of the bands [for the rescheduled date] and add some others. We'll know in the next 10 days."
Ozzfest features, among others, Iron Maiden, Mudvayne, Rob Zombie and Black Sabbath, the band in which Osbourne became famous.
Osbourne has missed shows July 27 in Indianapolis, Sunday in Holmdel, N.J., and Tuesday in Columbus, Ohio. Last month he had told the Columbus Dispatch that he was having acid reflux problems.
Tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date; refunds are available at the place of purchase.
